The Winkler and District Chamber of Commerce is a member of Business Retention & Expansion International (www.brei.org) which provides tools, the opportunity to share knowledge and information, and promotes Business Retention & Expansion. Business Retention and Expansion (BR&E) is a fundamental strategy supporting the growth of local economies.

Business Retention & Expansion International (BREI) is a non-profit, professional association of economic development practitioners and educators committed to the advancement of business retention and expansion as a key economic development strategy. Organized in 1989, the association includes members from Australia, Canada, Denmark, New Zealand, South Africa, and the United States. It is an organization that values diversity, professionalism, integrity, sharing and inclusiveness.
